What marks healthy Christian leadership? Many characteristics could be named, but at the foundation, Christian leadership begins with a commitment to Scripture. Scripture defines and explains how God’s people are to treat one another, and leaders are required to teach the community how they ought to live. However, healthy Christian leaders not only teach the Bible but they strive to be an example to those whom they lead. In today’s passage, these leadership qualities are exemplified in the life of Nehemiah.
