Why Jesus Sends | Matthew 9:35-38 ESV

Jesus is deeply moved with compassion at the state of human lostness. Are we?

Where we merely see crowds on the MTR, he sees people made in the image of God who are in trouble and oppressed. Where we sometimes feel little to nothing for others, he feels a deep ache. Where he desires to send laborers, we are reluctant to go. What is our hope then? That through our prayers, he will transform our hearts till we have the compassion of our Lord.
