Persecution Will Come | Matthew 10:16-25 ESV

Jesus came into the world to save sinners. But despite initially being welcomed, the crowds turned against him and he was crucified. Our passage today teaches that anyone who wants to follow Jesus will also face persecution. A disciple is not above his teacher. However, despite opposition and suffering, there is reason for hope. In our time of need Christians won’t be alone – the Spirit will help us to endure and stay faithful to God.
