Finding Fulfillment | Ecclesiastes 1:12 - 2:26 ESV

How do you find fulfillment in life? What brings satisfaction? In today’s passage, the author of Ecclesiastes shares his reflections on his personal search to find fulfillment through an intense pursuit of knowledge, pleasure and work. After looking for satisfaction in many activities and experiences, his pursuits end with a great sense of sorrow and emptiness. However, he has learned something that’s critical for every reader of Ecclesiastes. Humans were made to glorify God, and knowing Him transforms the way we experience our daily lives. We can experience joy and contentment in life when we recognize that it is God who graciously gives us our daily tasks and many other good gifts.
