Elect Exiles | 1 Peter 1:1-2 (ESV)

Christians in every century have suffered and faced persecution for their faith in Jesus Christ. How should we respond to this kind of opposition and ridicule? We should praise God for his sovereign choice in electing us from before the foundations of the earth to know him, love him, live with him and glorify him. Moreover, we should not find it strange when we feel like we don’t belong in this world, for we belong to another King and kingdom.
