Christian Contentment | 1 Timothy 6:3-10 ESV

What do we love? What makes us feel secure? What ultimately satisfies us? For many in this world, the pursuit of financial prosperity is the main goal and focus of life. It promises purpose, happiness and security. Yet as so many have discovered, money cannot truly satisfy. Instead, we were created to find joy and satisfaction in God alone, and no other created thing can ever provide true contentment. Christians must be aware of the dangers of wealth and regularly seek to live with an eternal perspective. As today’s passage reminds us, we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.
