Share In Suffering For The Gospel | 2 Timothy 1:8-18(ESV)

Following Jesus is costly. If Jesus was persecuted, then his followers will be persecuted as well. There are times when identifying with Christ and his church will be bring shame and earthly loss. But the good news of the gospel is that even though we suffer for Christ now, we know that our sins are forgiven and that our suffering is only temporary. Christ will one day return, He will defeat all of his enemies, and we will live with Christ for eternity. Assured of God’s promise of everlasting life, we can now boldly identify with Christ and His church as we continue to serve God despite trials of many kinds.
