God, the Government and the Gospel | 1 Timothy 2:1-4

In the letter of 1st Timothy, Paul writes to Timothy to give him instructions on how the church is to ‘behave in the household of God’ (1 Timothy 3:15). He begins by saying that the church should pray for the government. Why? Because God desires that even the leaders may be saved so that the gospel might flourish in the city.
