Caring For God's Family | 1 Timothy 5:1-16 ESV

Thankfully in many parts of the world today, a social safety net exists to help the poorest and neediest members of a society. However, this is not a universal reality. Even in places where it does exist, the government is limited in what it can actually provide. Today’s passage teaches us that Christians must not outsource the care of widows to the state. Rather, individual Christians must care for members of their own families and churches must support and help widows in their congregations.
