Go and serve are two themes tied together in a short-term mission trip. It is an act of worship. You can get a glimpse of God's work in the lives of those you meet. You will exclaim at the greatness of God!

In this year, we have opportunities to reach out and serve different people in Asia.

  • Cambodia trip in December - we work with different missionaries serving there, help them reach out to the poor and needy.
  • China - strengthening churches by providing training for volunteers, and work together in outreach to young people.
    • Hubei Love English Camp in July
    • Weekend seminar for university students
    • Bible teaching to lay leaders
  • Mongolia - Love Mongolia Camp in late July - provides a camp for a group of orphans so that they can experience love.

Love English Camp is a unique ministry that allows the participants to build longlasting friendships with mainland Chinese students while using creative methods to teach them English and valuable opportunities to share the love of Christ with them.

We need:

  • phonics teachers for small group tutorial sessions,
  • group leaders to help out in games and activities,
  • musicians to lead singing, and also
  • technical people for audio-visual support.

    English speakers are welcome. All the activities will be conducted in English and the students will be more than happy to practice English with you.

    As a bonus for those who are interested, we will have an optional 3-day church history tour in Hubei after the camp.

    Love Mongolia Camp PDF Print E-mail

    The purpose of the trip is to reach out to and spend time with underprivileged kids, who are either orphans or "economic" orphans under the care of a government-run shelter in Outer Mongolia.These are the same kids for whom our Christmas Love Offering gift was raised.

    Each summer, the kids are sent to a summer camp, away from the city. Our mission is to show Christ's love by spending time with them. Besides doing games, sports, arts & crafts with the kids, this year, we hope to incorporate more messages of encouragement, moral values and educational, character-building elements into our activities. We are calling for men and women, particularly men, with gentle and loving hearts, who are willing to spend a week at camp with the kids.

    Date: 23-31 July 2011 (Saturday - Sunday)
    Cost: Approximately HK$9,000

     

    If you want to join the camp, please complete this icon Short-term Mission Trip Form, and send it back to the church office as instructed on the form with initial deposit of $2,000 on or before 30 April 2011.
