A weekend retreat with the theme: Worship
I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.
— John 15:5(NASB)
Date: 31 October – 1 November 2009 Venue: Breakthrough Village, Shatin
In a city and culture where so many demands are laid on our lives, how big is our view of God? How well do we know our God and how are we to worship Him? What does true worship look like and how can we be true worshipers whom the Father seeks?
We will be looking at what the gospel of John teaches us about God's greatness and goodness. God is infinitely perfect, infinitely worthy of worship, and infinitely set apart from evil. Knowing this great and awesome God, who is infinitely worthy of our worship and praise, will naturally lead us to worship Him ...
We will also look at how God transforms sinners into His worshipers and witnesses through an abiding relationship with Him. Come and discover what kind of relationship God desires with those He chooses and saves.
The Program
Session 1: Worship the great God who is infinitely worthy Session 2: Worship: whole life as living sacrifice and an act of worship; abiding relationship with Jesus Session 3: Worship in truth: abiding in His word

Our Speaker: Michelle Kang
Born in Korea to devout Buddhist parents, I first heard the gospel message in 1977 and soon after, I received Christ into my life. After moving to Hong Kong with Howard, I was baptized in 1982. Since then, by God's grace, my father, mother, and older sister came to Christ. We have two daughters; Myun Hwa (married and living in Connecticut, USA) and Chin Hwa who has returned to Hong Kong after studying and working in the UK; both faithful servants of the Lord.
Our family lived in Australia and Korea for ten years where I served the Korean Church as a care group leader, Sunday school teacher and in the Korean Centre for World Missions. We returned to Hong Kong in 1994 and began worshipping at ECC in 1995 where Howard and I now facilitate Precept Bible Studies. I have been studying at the Asia Baptist Theological Seminary since 2007.
