"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24-25
CARE GROUPS
Followers of Jesus make four connections in life:
• Connected to God in worship • Connected to people in community • Connected to self for nurture by God • Connected to others in outreach
At ECC we encourage everyone to get connected to a Care Group. It is at Care Group that people will be encouraged to fulfill the four aspects of the church - worship, nurture, community and outreach.
What are Care Groups?
Care Groups are the pastoral arm of the church. They are safe places where people love one another, grow in Christ likeness, and use their gifts to reach out to a hurting world.
What do I do at Care Group?
Most groups worship together, then they spend time in study. Groups are free to use material of their choice reflecting the needs of the group, however, most use the material which follows the sermon series. Groups enjoy fellowship with one another, pray with and for one another, and at times reach out.
Why get connected?
It is in Care Group that you will have the opportunity to know others and be known. It is an opportunity to simulate the early church. It is Biblical. Jesus modeled it. It is a place to glorify God and serve others.
Who are Care Groups for?
It is our desire at ECC that everyone get connected to a Care Group. We have a variety of groups and hope you can find one that suits you. We have Cantonese speaking groups, young working professional groups, intergenerational groups (bring your little people) and the list goes on.
How do I get connected?
There are many Care Groups meeting regularly at different places and times. Click here for a list of groups. If you want to get connected, please contact Michele A. Bland.
