Pastor of Christian Formation

Bob has been on the pastoral staff since 2003. Before coming to ECC Bob has lived, pastored and taught in Canada, Papua New Guinea and the U.S. He and Amy have four grown children who live in Canada and the U.K. Prior to pastoral ministry he served in the military and in the banking field.  Bob received his cross-cultural and theological training at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA. and Regent College, Vancouver, Canada.

What does he enjoy most about life and ministry at ECC and Hong Kong?

"I deeply appreciate being in a church and city which is a commercial and ideological crossroads for people from all over the world. It's fertile and challenging soil for the good news-the utterly unique Jesus story, that cuts across culture and which enables us to live deeply not superficially; to live personally not impersonally and to live compassionately and not manipulatively. I'm so amazed by the creative energy in Hong Kong, particularly in the Christians I find.  Its a wonder to me and a gift to be here.
